About the role

Digi is hiring a Service Operations & Maintenance Technician for its Commercial Division in Caye Caulker. The technician installs, maintains and repairs customer services and network infrastructure, including fibre and copper networks, and resolves customer trouble tickets.

Responsibilities

Investigate and resolve trouble tickets and carry out preventive maintenance
Perform end-to-end installations and repairs for residential customers
Replace passive layer elements and carry out splicing and repairs on fibre and copper networks
Maintain outside plant infrastructure and assist with network optimisation
Exceed customer expectations in installations and fault management

Requirements

Associate degree in a related field
Two (2) years of relevant experience
Familiarity with fixed broadband and mobile networks
Experience with outside plant tools such as OPM, OTDR, VFL, and mechanical or fusion splicing
Valid driver’s permit
Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a team
Results-oriented, highly organised, with strong planning and problem-solving skills

Preferred qualifications

Fibre optic certification such as CFOT or CFOS/T/S
