About the role

Digi is hiring a Senior Mechanic for its Corporate Division in Belize City. The Senior Mechanic keeps Digi’s vehicle fleet and backup power equipment operational through planned maintenance and repairs, controls maintenance costs and spare parts, and oversees the team of mechanics and assistant mechanics.

Responsibilities

Keep the fleet operational and available to support all business activities
Complete maintenance before failures occur and minimise vehicle and equipment downtime
Control maintenance and repair expenses within approved budgets
Maintain adequate spare parts while minimising excess inventory
Keep backup power assets operational and ready for deployment
Oversee the mechanics and assistant mechanics team

Requirements

Associate degree or technical certification in automotive technology or a related field
At least three years of fleet maintenance experience with supervisory responsibilities
Strong knowledge of vehicle diagnostics, generators, fleet systems and maintenance planning
Valid driver’s licence
Results-oriented with a strong sense of urgency
Highly organised, with strong planning, problem-solving, interpersonal and teamwork skills
