About the role

Harvest Caye, Norwegian Cruise Line’s island destination in southern Belize (operated by Belize Island Holdings Ltd.), is hiring trainee Security Officers to protect its premises, assets, staff and guests on cruise-ship days, reporting to the Security Supervisors and the Port Facility Security Officer. Officers stand or walk for the whole shift and work in all weather and sea conditions.

Responsibilities

Carry out high-visibility patrols
Protect premises, assets, staff and guests on cruise-ship days
Work in all weather and sea conditions
Help care for the security dog

Requirements

Eligible for a security officer’s licence without restrictions
Clear local background check and valid police record
Willing to take a drug test
Intermediate to advanced English
High school diploma
18 or older
Able to work shifts

Preferred qualifications

Security experience
Military or law-enforcement background
Word and Excel skills
