Purchasing Agent
About the role
Harvest Caye, Norwegian Cruise Line’s island destination in southern Belize (operated by Belize Island Holdings Ltd.), is hiring a Purchasing Agent to manage purchase orders and supplier coordination for the island and vessels.
Responsibilities
- Review requisitions and create and expedite purchase orders, including for vessels
- Process manual orders
- Source quotes and verify pricing and delivery
- Maintain purchasing system setup and approval paths
- Serve as first point of contact for purchasing tools
- Coordinate with Accounts Payable and follow up on open orders
- Support e-procurement and procure-to-pay systems
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business
- At least 1 year of experience in procurement operations and ERP or e-procurement systems such as PeopleSoft
- Strong numerical accuracy
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Preferred qualifications
- Process and workflow design experience
- Experience with procure-to-pay tools such as MXP, Amos or Ariba
