Medical Director
About the role
Hillside Health Care, a non-profit clinic in Punta Gorda, is hiring a full-time Medical Director reporting to the Executive Director. The Medical Director oversees patient care and educational programs for medical, PA, rehabilitation and nurse practitioner students in a rural, underserved setting.
Responsibilities
- Provide clinical supervision across primary care, mobile clinic and home health services
- Ensure high-quality, comprehensive patient care in a rural and underserved setting
- Supervise and precept medical, PA and nurse practitioner students
- Develop hands-on global health learning opportunities
- Serve on the senior leadership team and take part in planning and strategic decisions
- Represent Hillside at health-related events
Requirements
- Licensed primary care physician, PA or nurse practitioner eligible for Belize licensure
- Experience teaching or precepting medical, PA or nurse practitioner students
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Drive and Gmail
Preferred qualifications
- Experience in international, rural or underserved health settings
- Leadership and administrative experience
- Ability to work in an interdisciplinary team
- Public speaking and supervision skills
