About the role

Harvest Caye, Norwegian Cruise Line’s island destination in southern Belize (operated by Belize Island Holdings Ltd.), is hiring a Host/Hostess to greet guests, manage restaurant reservations and control the flow of guests into its restaurants.

Responsibilities

  • Take and confirm reservations, seat guests and present menus and specials
  • Tell guests about wait times and adjust floor plans to spread tables evenly across wait staff
  • Help clear and reset tables and take orders when needed
  • Handle guest concerns
  • Carry out opening and closing duties and keep the host stand stocked
  • Follow responsible alcohol service, safety and sanitation standards

Requirements

  • High school diploma
  • Customer service and restaurant experience
  • Food handler’s certificate
  • Good English
  • Able to stand for long periods
  • Available for peak hours, early mornings, nights, weekends and holidays
  • Strong multitasking skills and attention to detail
