About the role

Four Seasons Resort and Residences Caye Chapel, currently in pre-opening, is hiring a Director of Engineering. The resort will be Four Seasons’ first private island in the Americas. The Director of Engineering leads the engineering and maintenance team for all interior and exterior facilities, life and fire safety, and energy systems.

Responsibilities

Liaise with construction contractors and owners during construction
Ensure life and fire safety installations meet standards
Manage construction documents, permits, licences and drawings
Quality-check mechanical, electrical and HVAC systems and oversee contractors
Keep materials and equipment stocked and run preventive maintenance programs

Requirements

3–5 years as a Director of Engineering and 5 years of hotel or building engineering management
Engineering degree, technical trade degree, or certification such as CEOE, BOMI, RPA, FMA or SMA
Project management and leadership skills
Excellent English

Preferred qualifications

Experience with multi-use complexes
Spanish
Island experience and knowledge of island infrastructure
